Eligibility Criteria 

Eligibility Criteria for admission in Polytechnic is given below:

  • Candidates seeking admission should have completed at least 10th or high school. 
  • Candidates should have scored at least 40% aggregate marks in his/her class 10th final exam.(It may vary in different areas) 
  • Candidate’s minimum age should be 14+ years on the basis of DOB given on respective Class 10th Marksheet or Certificate bit there is no any upper age limit for applying in Polytechnic 
  • Candidate should be domicile of India with Nationality India 
  • If a candidate is applying for admission in Polytechnic institutions which are in his/her state then candidates need to produce a Domicile Certificate too. 

Polytechnic Vs B.Tech

  • Polytechnic is a three year diploma course while B.Tech is a four year undergraduate program. 
  • Polytechnic provides knowledge in overview while B.Tech is a detailed study of the subjects
  • Pursuing Polytechnic is less expensive than B.Tech
